BOOK DESCRIPTION:
On the brink of a crumbling marriage, Kate Pineda-McDowell runs away from the only life she has ever known – straight into the heart of the Philippines where her estranged father lives. As she waits for her connecting flight from Tokyo to Manila, she meets Liam Walker, whose disquieting stares express deeper things than his reluctant words. Unbeknownst to both, their chance meeting circles back to a closely linked past that holds little hope for new beginnings.
Shortly after arriving in Manila, Kate finds herself drawn to seek out Liam. In a span of few magical days, what began as a spark ignites into an electric affair that compels Liam to let someone into his silent world while Kate confronts her heartbreaking sorrows. But falling for each other means opening old wounds and revealing their most intimate yearnings.
Emotionally gripping and endearingly hopeful, A Hundred Silent Ways examines the many different paths people take to obtain a second chance at happiness while asking the most heartrending question of all: How much are we willing to endure to keep love alive?

Okay, first, can I just say that I highly recommend you read this book? Yes, I highly recommend that you read this book.
I couldn’t find the words and I couldn’t begin to say what this book made me feel. I was in a roller coaster of emotions. I was in a tangle of feelings. This book is a vast ocean, I was lost and drowning in it. Every page is a wave full of emotions that hit me with rawness and pierced through my very core. I am just soooo glad I read this book. So so so so glad. Big thanks to @booksandthensome for introducing this book to me. Because without any exaggeration, this is gold. 🥰 It’s amazing how the writer’s poetic writing has made me say these like it’s contagious. 😂
I really love how the flow of the story was written. I took my time reading, savoring every bit of this book like I don’t want it to end. I was taken through Kate’s journey of finding herself again, like I was with her, feeling her emotions. This book just hits all the right places. I adore the characters. How easy it is to relate to their pain and their flaws. Their imperfections made them real, especially Kate and Liam and I am elated that they were able to find the long overdue happiness they both deserved.
This really was an emotionally gripping and heartwarming read for me. A woman’s inspiring journey through life’s hardships and struggles. A true testament that life, though full of twists and turns will not put us through something we cannot withstand. And that though everything may seem dim at the moment, we can trust that there will always be light at the end of the tunnel and a future even brighter than what we dreamed or wished for. Because what we’ve been through, no matter how hard it is, has made us stronger and braver. I’ll tell you that this is a sad story, but it will warm your heart, it will give you hope. It gave me hope, for sure.
This is definitely a book which I think will appeal to CoHo fans and readers. I wanted to say more, ‘cause I can’t contain it. 😂 But I’m gonna stop here before I spoil things for you. If you grab this book, you won’t regret it! 🧡 In addition, please also check other reviews in Goodreads. You’ll find lots of good ones too.
